Dr. David Field is husband of one wife and father of three daughters, the eldest of whom studies at New St. Andrews. David teaches Christian Doctrine and Ethics at Oak Hill College in London, England. After reading theology at Oxford, he taught in a theological college in Nigeria for three years. His doctorate from Cambridge was in Puritan thought and was followed by five years as pastor of an evangelical church south of London. He then had four years in the commercial world as a head-hunter before moving to Oak Hill in 2000. He's a keen blogger, a fan of the English soccer team Everton, and a lover of fruit brandy and John Buchan novels.
Dr. Peter Leithart is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America and currently serves as Dean of the New St. Andrews graduate program and senior fellow of literature and theology at New St. Andrews College. He holds a Master of Theology from Westminster Seminary, Philadelphia and a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. Among his publications are 1-2 Kings and Deep Comedy. He is a contributing editor to Touchstone magazine. Peter and his wife Noel have ten children and one grandson.
J. Steven Wilkins along with his wife Wendy, have six children (two of whom are married), and three grandsons (you may have to add a grand-daughter to this list by the time of the conference). He was born in Mobile, Alabama, graduated with a degree in Pre-Law from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa; he then obtained the Master of Divinity degree from the Reformed Theological Seminary, in Jackson, Mississippi. He has been an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America since 1976 and has served PCA churches in Mississippi and now in Monroe, Louisiana, where he has been the pastor of the Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church since 1989 (though for the members of AAPC it seems like it has been much, much longer).
Douglas Wilson is the pastor of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho. He is a founding board member of Logos School, a senior fellow of theology at New St. Andrews College, and he serves as an instructor at Greyfriars' Hall, a ministerial training program at Christ Church. He helped establish the Confederation of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC), is the editor of Credenda Agenda, and the author of numerous books on classical Christian education, the family, the church, and the reformed faith. After serving in the U.S. Navy in the submarine service, he completed a B.A. and M.A. in philosophy and a B.A. in classical studies from the University of Idaho. Douglas and his wife Nancy have three children and a bunch of grandkids.
